There is a bunch more of this tree left, I only took the one 12 foot section as I didn't know how it would handle and was only guessing as the weight. I will got back out again this weekend for more.

It's a mile marker hydraulic 12k. I didn't think of pto since I wanted some I can swap from front to rear and run with remote. I have been meaning to post the pictures from the winch install.

Cannot beat Doug Fir for shear wow factor. Looks like its been down for a while. Bark coming off? Biggest Fir I ever cut was 26" at the stump. That ones a bigg'un.

IDE a split it on site. No need for a bob cat.

18" with 2 passes will do just fine.
28" seams a bit much for that saw.

Yeah, it been down for 2 years at least and splits with the X27 with ease.
Sadly with the bark off she is still 42" plus around so I need the 28" bar.

Did the same thing with a 290/20". I definitely took more of a beating.

Looks like the stump end by the split rings in the second pic.

Sorta looks Like a big Tammy. Loggers don't take the bottom as it will split around the rings and no good for the mills.

I will go back out tomorrow and see. She was a tall tree that blew over in a big wet and windy storm several years back. It's on national forest land so 20 bucks for 2 cords.

Yeah it's open season on that. IDE have no trouble standing in your saw dust.

Iam stupid, IDE probably go buy a 395 just to take it apart.

I will take some video this weekend when I get more. going to get a little over 24' since I know the weight now, around 500 lbs per 18" round.

Yup, no rain and easy to clean up the mess. Plus at 500 lbs per round the crane makes splitting easy on the back.

Read, "doug fir." A 362 struggles thru oak with a 8" less on the bar.
