We had 31.4 this morning, I ran the furnace for about 7 minutes and then the propane fireplace.

Nothing in the stove this morning or last night, the temp was 49 when I made coffee but we hit 70 pretty fast, it's 76.5 at the moment with a cold front coming in.

We had 32 this morning but the temps up here were still 66 & 68 from us hitting 79 yesterday. I'll save what wood we have inside for a few fires tonight.

25 this morning, let the fire die out since it will be in the 60’s today. Probably will be having evening fires from time to time most of next month then hopefully done by June.

It's 37.8 tonight and the basement was getting real cool so I had a small fire after supper and the second fire settled in for the overnight heat. The basement temp after the first fire was 72 with the temps up here 68 & 69.

It's been a damp and chilly(ish) day, going down to about 38. Had a pine and aspen fire after dinner and just loaded up with ash and pine e/w on cherry runners again. It's a good little fire to keep the chill out. Maybe have some coals in the morning, maybe not. Black ash isn't nearly as good as white ash or other better hardwoods. Tomorrow's high is only supposed to be 44 with rain, so will try to keep some coals alive all day.

Had a small fire last night to keep the cabin temps up. Looks like today will be cold rainy day in the 40’s so started another fire with 4 splits of Aspen. Saw some snow on the radar just North of here, hope it stays up there, very depressing this time of year seeing that.

We'll, it's looking like I might be done burning for the season too... I expected to have a fire last night with a low of 28 forecast overnight, but the inside temperature was still 71 at 11:00 so we didn't. The cabin (new "home") holds heat much better than the old house. I am guessing we may run the AC here more than the old place due to all the south & west windows, but with the central air and good insulation & air sealing it should be effective.

Had a fire last night and woke up to a chilly 26 outside this morning. Probably will have another fire this evening then the burning season looks to be over. We may hit 90 Sunday or Monday so I will be able to test out my new ac unit. One extreme to the next!

It has been cool and damp the last 3 days, yesterday we had a few fires and today we had a shoulder season fire after coffee, we have a second fire going with some soft maple with the temps up here 70 & 71.

Tomorrow we start getting warmer weather again, we have a forecast high of 66.

It's 42.8 out tonight with more rain. The basement temp started out at 73 with the temps up here 70 & 71. The overnight load has some maple with two splits of ironwood providing the heat

May 10th, Vermont. The winter that would not end. It’s was -20+ for 2 months.

3 years ago today I was swimming in the river and it was 85 degrees and humid AF.

I’m from NH so I get winter. This one was intense.

We had 43 this morning with more rain overnight. Both temps up here were 70 and the basement was 73 this morning.

The forecast low for tonight is 35, we'll have more fires tonight, hopefully that will be the end of it.

We didn't have any fires last night, our low this morning was 37. Both temps up here were 67 this morning before coffee, we used some propane for some quick heat.
