Drolet 1800i insert . 2.4 cubic foot firebox non cat secondary burn stove. Hooked to a 14-15 foot 6” insulated SS liner

19 degrees going up to 40. Full load of pine and aspen again. Had decent coals this morning.

Just did the evening cold start. Going to 29 tonight. Very strange had a 3.5 year 3”-4” oak split sizzle at the corner of one end. Like hollow sound when dropped it when bringing it in and still sizzles.

No tarp covered no leaks. It was a small wedge shaped split. Just one small corner but bubbled. Stack is on pallets crossed stacked.

That’s an odd one. I wouldn’t sweat it though. Could just be surface moisture from dew (cold nights warm days). If your wood was improperly seasoned you would know it.

It was covered only the top 6” overhang. Stacked Aug 2022. Sun good airflow. Might be the end exposed to the elements. I do try to stage my wood indoors for a few days. Load is running hot 700 STT.

I dropped 9 pieces of mixed hardwoods in for the evening load. Oak and maple.

Aspen reload on a bed of hot coals. I think I’ll be through the aspen sooner than expected.

Multi species load for the night. Had to have some help, stove was about 100 degrees from the 7am fire this morning. Just a few small sticks in the gaps and a torch for a few seconds is all it needed. Big chunk of oak, big split of ash, another medium split of ash, some red maple, a split of hickory, some silver and Norway maple in this load.

Down to 21 already. Pretty full load of 2 small cherry runners n/s and 4 mid to large size black ash e/w on a good coal bed. Colder weather and a good bed of coals is soooo much better for reloads...

It's 18.9 out at the moment, the basement is 81 with the temps up here at 70. The overnight load has two beech splits with the rest ash.

25/ 65 Good morning, starting from a smaller bed of coals this morning, a real mishmash of wood, oak and maple cutoffs and a few bigger chunks of cedar.

Supposed to be a nice bright sunny day, high of 45.

Did not do a late evening load and Keeping the furnace off. Used the upstairs mini split when the family got up. Tonight going lower so will have the thermostat on.

No we don’t. Like it cool for sleeping. If it’s in the 30’s use the mini splits when we get up. Under 30 like tonight thermostat will be set.

Currently 33, down to 28 tonight. Ash and some silver maple for the overnight . 69 inside temp. Still had some coals left over from the 645am fire this morning but gave it a little help with the torch to get things going quicker. Tired tonight and I want to go to bed haha
