Nice looking load of oak, shame to waste it on a mild night!!

That’s all I’ll have for a while. All I have for this season is oak, hickory, beech and a little ash. I could probably burn some of the black cherry and other stash of ash I have but was going to give that another year to season, though it’s probably dry by now (been 2 summers). I have some white oak too, but probably going to give that another year too (been 2 summers seasoning). A majority of this season will be oak and hickory. Don’t have much “shoulder season” wood. Would love to find some maple but has been slim Pickens for that. I have All good stuff. Down to around 32, so not warm but not cold either: plenty to keep the house warm low and slow

1st world problem buddy! 🤣 I guess I’ll be in that boat next year, then again there seems to be an endless supply of dead ash around here.

Yeah I suppose that’s a good problem to have 😂. If we end up having a mild winter I’ll have a lot of wood ready for next year..:.more than I could ever use

I brought in some ash and made a small fire... Perfect!
