Hope everyone has a wonderful and warm Thanksgiving!
Yesterday afternoons hardwood load is still coaling along so I will let that ride for the time being. It’s supposed to warm up to around 45 with rain this afternoon and then low 30s overnight again so I will probably do a dinner time load of hardwoods.
Lots of cherry on this cold, crisp morning. A piece of oak might have snuck in there too. Some 700STT to warm things up. House held 68 to when I reloaded when I got up.
House was 71 with a load of cherry and black ash last night when I went to bed. Very light coals left this morning and 66 (which is furnace setting) with a load of pine and aspen ripping along. 22 and windy with a real feel of 11.
Last nights overnight burn wasn’t my best, but I had just cleaned out the ashes, so I guess that’s not terribly surprising.
Shop was 52 when I got out there, STT and CAT less than 140. I was able to restart it with some of the coals and paper. Right now it’s got a piece of knotted pine and and two pieces of punky mystery wood in it.
