Question:

Hello- Do you know when the first stove was invented?

Answer:

Well- there are different opinions regarding that....Ben Franklin did receive a patent on his Franklin Fireplace that heated well- so history records him as one of the first.

The Romans and others in ancient times used a form of central heat where hot smoke was run below certain stone floors, so the idea of heating with wood is nothing new. The more recent advances began with the industrial casting of molten iron, which was in the early 1700's.
