I've found cans of Roach Prufe at the hardware store which is 98% boric acid, but I understand the other 2% has an attractant. Since I don't have a problem now and was just going to put a perimeter of it around the woodpile in the garage just in case, I didn't wasnt to attract anything from somewhere else.
 
Drugstore.
 
I purchased some on Ebay, reasonably priced as I remember.
