Any other woods that come even close doing that- preferably something in New England? It doesn't have to be a high- heat wood. Locust?

Got any sassafras? It sparks and pops pretty OK, not like hedge though.

Oh ya- I have burned a small amount of that. We don't have a lot in the area- there's concentrated amounts in parts of MA though.

Occasionally I get some Mulberry that sparks pretty good,Honey Locust too.Not quite like Osage/Hedge does though. Eastern Red Cedar/Juniper really puts on a show,only use it for starter or kindling.Seen one little coal pop out over 10 ft land right on carpet,dove down & hit it with squirt bottle.

In New England, mullberry is fairly close in spark show and heat value. You can probably grow Osage on the coast in CT/MA. I know of some growing in NJ.

Thanks! I have osage that I planted here- but the conditions are less than perfect for it. I could have firewood in 100 years

Yeah, that's normal. I've had cockatiels in the past. We currently have a lovebird and she thinks she is human too. Makes life interesting.

Cool vid....my senegal parrot sounds just like your cockatiels....he is a great mimicker..he was raised with cockatiels for the first few months....so I don't even know what a regular senegal would sound like......
