The shed is full of mixed hard woods, soft maple, beech, oak, birch. Open on both ends it holds over two years of wood. We pull from one end one year and fill it that spring then pull from the other end the following year. It holds ten rows nine feet long by ~7 feet tall. The small tarped stack is a chord of pine slabs from my in laws bandsaw mill. We use them for shoulder season and kindling

Finally i have the last pile of ash in this picture to take to my dads come october.



We have too much wood, hopefully we can burn through alot of it before I move in 5 or so years. Funny thing about it is the emerald ash borer is officially in our part of NW Iowa and there will be ALOT of Ash wood coming down that we can get for free.

It takes me three ricks to last the year in a medium/cold year. That stack there would last me a lifetime!

I don't have any pictures but because of the clearing for our garage we have a good five years worth of shoulder season wood and close to four years worth of hardwood. The last two years we've had two family members pass so the wood cutting slowed down.

We have four more piles of pine logs not pictured that need c/s/s.

20 logs (smallest are 10" diameter 20'+ long) bucked and ready for the new splitter. The chainsaw and maul give it a little scale. Too much to split by hand, I'm trying to get a stockpile for the next couple of years. I figure this loaf will last a couple seasons. I go through around 5 cords a year.

I have about 9.5 cords CSS and plenty more rounds in the woods. This will be my first winter burning. I need to take a break from gathering.
