Work Done In 2026

  • Active since 1995, Hearth.com is THE place on the internet for free information and advice about wood stoves, pellet stoves and other energy saving equipment.

We strive to provide opinions, articles, discussions and history related to Hearth Products and in a more general sense, energy issues.

We promote the EFFICIENT, RESPONSIBLE, CLEAN and SAFE use of all fuels, whether renewable or fossil.
A couple days ago I posted about not bringing wood over because the yard was a bit sloppy. I didn’t want to tear it up with the tractor so I was going to wait until Tuesday/wed as the overnight was going to be in the teens and things would firm up nicely. As of then “the big blizzard” was also not supposed to hit us. Guess what I’ll be doing first thing tomorrow morning now? 🙃
I filled the garage rack today. Made some ruts with the wheelbarrow.
First time I'm seeing mud season here. Had frost so long that it's deep. Now snow was melting and it was a muddy squelchy mess.
