Wow,,,,,,,, thanks for all the nice feed back! I will let you know how the stove works out. Did a 200 degree small fire this morning, and now just did a second fire which I brought up to 250 degrees. Tomorrow I think I should be good to go. I'll still go easy on her but engage the cat.. I have such a good draft that when I lit a wooden stick match and got it near the open door, it sucked the flame out before I could touch the paper. And I'm not even straight up! One good thing is it should burn good on a low setting and no back puffing. I guess I'll find out. I'm laughing, this made me feel like a kid at Christmas , getting a present you've been waiting for all year . I can tell you already, this stove starts a lot better then the Quad 5700 did, hands down. Both burns I just lit my newspaper with kindling and some small wood and closed the door. No need to even leave the door open. I'm impressed. Woodstock gave this stove a nice air path for sure. Just have to figure out a reload according to the air inlets. Rake the coals towards the door, new wood towards the back or front?
Charly, do not rake the coals toward the door. Just move them toward the front of the stove.
