I’d believe that! I was in Canaan, NY. The Love’s truck stop said that they closed the Mass Tpke.

That much snow is going to flood a lot of basements next month!

Holy crap you shoveled your whole roof!
weight, and ice dams . Been a huge problem for me and alot of people, pretty much everyone I talk to

This snow was super heavy.

Whole project took all day. I’m wiped out after this and my 48 hr shift.

Next project tomorrow and Friday is digging out a path to pull that camper out Sunday… 🏳️

Up here I have a new 120V pump, and last year installed 12V battery back up using a boat bilge pump. I am done with water in the basement. This house is good though. The whole island is sandstone so good drainage. I've had nightmare foundations.

Good Luck with the camper. That's a lot of snow between the street and the camper.

Same here with the ice dams. I don't have to worry about this house on the cape, but mine at home will get bad with the sunny skies if I don't get to it pretty soon.

I am getting a warm up and rain also. Then I was looking at the next 7 days. Not super cold but not warm either. My pile of 140 bags of pellets is very small. I have enough for this month. Then I have to go buy more with the Jeep. I don't think I want another delivery. If next year is like this year I may need 3 pallets = 210 bags

We're under a blizzard warning until this afternoon yet. Snow wasn't nearly as much as the forecast, but the winds are very strong. All total we'll be about a foot when it's all done, which is about half of the forecast. Heaviest snows went between us and @Gearhead660. Some locations broke all time records. Glad we didn't get that!

Been without power for almost three days and it came back on yesterday. A severe wind storm knocked out the grid for over 160,000 customers. Countless power line poles snapped or damaged and trees down everywhere.

Just to show the strength of these winds: we had a tomato plant from a 2 ft pot up along the pole that holds up the porch roof. The middle section of that plant sheered off and is currently up against the chicken fence, clips still attached. The top and bottom are still at the porch. The iron chicken vane on the garage was shattered into pieces. A metal roof panel over the porch, built in 73, was torn off and was in the woods 200 ft away. Another piece was partial torn and bent like paper. That roof lasted all these years till a couple days ago.

It may sound not as bad as some other places but this is insane wind for SW PA.

We only got about 6 inches. Rained most of the day Sunday. Temps dropped in the afternoon and everything froze. The winds and snow came overnight.

Yesterday, the temp hit 18::C all the snow from the weekend melted
During the night, the temperature dropped to -16::C, with high winds, freezing rain and 4 in of snow
Power out in many places . The roads are a s--t show. Right now -9::C with a wind chill of -24::C
As they say, don't like the weather here, just wait an hour, it will change
