Got a call from my friendly arbourist and he had a spare day so he could bring a few trees down for me. They are close to the house so needed the professionals. It was a 3 man team and they worked the full day bringing the tree's down piece by piece. I took the day off and after watching them i have the upmost respect for anyone who has the skill and ability to do such a job.

They charge by the hour and it works out ~ $200 per hour for the 3 man team. Not sure why - but her who must be obeyed thought it would be good to leave the stumps ~ 10 foot high. Not sure why. I also asked the main guy if he could slab a few pieces which he did. I think i got ~ 8 slabs 2 inch thick ~ 7 foot long. Not sure what i going to do with them but i will put them under the house (my house is on stilts) and let them dry for a year or 2.

Somethin wrong with you folk down that-a-way. ::P ;lol

You have more self control than I do. I could never be around ten foot tall tree stumps without getting out my chainsaw and and making some nice rounds of them!
