How much water do you use?

Probably about a gallon per day in the steamer. Maybe more of the stove is running hard and I am home to keep it topped off all day and night. I don't use the trivet either. We used to run humidifiers, but after the big one stopped working I didn't notice much of difference using only the steamer, except that we used less electricity. It is hard to keep the humidity at a comfortable level in a drafty house like mine.
 
I go through about 1.5 gallons per day in a SS pot. Whent the pot starts getting too many deposits I just add some vinegar to the water a let it sit a while. Then it usually wipes away.
