I was going to call him and say "let's get started", when guess who shows up at my firewood staging area ;)

2 loads later.......

[Hearth.com] I Love My Firewood Guy !!!

Delivered firewood in the middle, the last of the Sand Stash/still to be processed to the left upper & right lower.

This load is birch, light, like pine. It'll season quick, once it's stacked.

Speaking of pine, it's taken me 3 years to convince him, but he's finally processing it for me (still shaking his had at me, but what the hay :p)

Nice addition to the inventory!

Got it stacked yet LOL :)

It'll be done by the end of the month..... 6 more loads coming in, at least !

Nice to have a wood guy like that and sounds like you're educating him too!

Are you encouraging Pine for shoulder season or because he gives it to you cheaper?

I'm thinking about scrounging up a cord of pine for shoulder season.
Tons of it around because nobody really wants it.

Pauly, go for the pine, and don't be afraid to take more.

Now, I have to convince him that I need hardwoods, too ;)

Not intending to hijack, but are gypsy moths predicted to be bad this year? I see the tape on the tree in the background. I remember early to mid 90s those suckers were BAD in the Jersey area.

No Gypsy moths in quite a few years.... the duct tape is a tree tagged to come down, so my tree guy knows which ones to cut .

I got home today, and he'd brought another load
