It will burn down to great coals and ash at about 250-300 degrees. This also gives me plenty for an overnight burn of about 7 hours. When running during the day, I can give it three plenty good splits, burn for about 4 hours and then start adding air back to full before reloading.
As said above, you need to play with your stove and learn its burning curve. Each stove is different and I had a long learn time going from the 118 to the 500.

What type of wood are you burning?

Only oak, mostly red right now, some mixed in white. Have tons of white that will be waiting for next year.
