Took a nice 7pt 4 days into our archery season so it freed some time up to get around to installing our burner.

Paid $250 for the gently used insert

$300 for brand new liner, it was sent mistakenly to a customer that ordered an oval. He tried to return it and they told him to keep it.

Another $100 in Roxul and other hardware silicone etc.

Had a bit of trouble with the heatalator smoke shelf but got through it after I used a sawzall and purchased an angle grinder.

Me and my wife finished it over the course of three days and after finally receiving my new baffles we gave it a test run with great results.

Insurance company (State Farm) is coming on Thursday to take measurements.

Just need to buy the top surround to finish it off.

Looks good. What were you using hear before?

Hi! What size area are you heating? We are looking at getting one of these and are hoping it would fit the bill for the price. Colonial house, 7.5ft ceilings, inside wall fireplace, living room about 450 sqFt.. Hoping it will heat most of the first floor of our 1800 sqft house, maybe some heat to the upstairs (stairs just off the living room doorway)........

1100 sq ft single floor, haven't ran our oil furnace yet this year.

We have already had some 10 degree nights/22 degree days and it heats well. 3 decent logs before I go to sleep and I wake up 6-8 hours later with the house at 57 or better with a decent coal bed still putting off heat.

Haven't been able to get the house temp higher than 65 on these last few colder nights with the wind blowing hard. I should mention that I haven't installed a block off plate and have only stuffed the opening with roxul, feeling around with my hand I don't seem to be losing much heat going up.

So far so good.
