I'd just mask everthing off and give it a quick spray with black stove paint.(the entire interior venting).

Of course using proper ventilation.

I sprayed it down with the high temp spray and it looks so much better!

1. Is the stove burning OK and without any smoke in the room, and

2. did you get around to replacing that computer surge strip with something better, like the TrippLite UltraBlok I mentioned way back in the beginning of this thread?

1) There was a little bit of smoke in the beginning, but I was informed that it could've been the lubricant burning off. We checked for carbon monoxide and it was fine.

2) Yes.

Not to hijack this thread, but Scott im still wipeing the tears from my eyes from the laughter. I can not believe someone would really do this. I am at a lost for words right now.
