Vermont Castings Intrepid II 1990

Hey y'all!

I just purchased a Vermont Castings Intrepid II 1990 to heat my 1160 Sq foot home! New to burning here, and purchased used from Craigs list for $400. The exterior and interior seem to be in great condition! Are there any tips or things to watch out/ look for with this stove? Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Probably the catalytic converter and the proper fit of all gaskets and the bypass should be checked......although sometimes checking the converter can hurt it, so be careful or leave it along for now if everything seems to work.

Yep, get a manual if you don't already have one. It's full of useful info., one of the good things V.C. does. You'll find it helpful. Oh I mean don't just get it, read it.
