Another overnight load of hickory and maybe oak. Outside temp 32, 68 inside, STT 280, CAT settling in a 1220, air a crack past full closed.

Well, back to winter. Haven't lit the stove in the last few days but we're back in the 20's and the wind is fairly nasty out there. Mix of maple, oak, and a split of osage for good measure for overnight.
34 feels like 21 outside; storming.
70 upstairs.
A reload of some bent oak pieces over a layer of coals too much to rake forward, but I want to go to bed. In hindsight, and in view of what was still burning now, I think that one split I thought was spruce, was something else.

Have not had a fire in a while. It’s been too warm. Got my stove set up to light tomorrow morning as it is going to be cold
