Fresh load of spruce in for the daytime load.

7 degrees this morning and stretched last night's load by sleeping in. Load of aspen taking the chill out.

I had the stove going all day until the evening. Had to let it die down due to high wind gusts. Started to get smoke smell in the house.

Another load of oak in stove room 72 and outside real feel of -5.

The real feel this morning was -1. 13 but high winds
12 hrs on that load. Now a split of sassafras,.and likely one more,.and I'll try to get some ashes out.

Forgot to grab a pic when I relit it this morning. About 12 hrs on the burn, STT was 160, had a few coals left to restart with some splitter slash and paper.

She’s running some maple, pine and a few pieces of poplar to warm up. STT 500 and climbing, air wide open. 18 outside, 53 inside.

Late to post this morning. Got home from work, cleaned out some ash, wiped the glass down and loaded up with ash, beech and some sugar maple and hickory . Burning 75% open for quick heat. Currently 13 feels like -8

Again, cold starts are cheaper than elec and so much more heat delivered

There’s something about feels like 4C/ 40F that goes right thru…

Anyway, supposed to be raining…but it ain’t hoorah

1 beech and a couple small splits of chestnut
The rest is Wht oak and hazel
