Hey just wondering if someone could help identify my maul. Picked it up used seems like old steel but the guy didn’t know what it was. It’s heavy and tears up wood but wondering if anyone knew what it was.
If you strip the paint, you might find a maker's stamp. More likely not, though. It's new enough that the most important message they had to convey was "don't sue us if you get wood chips in your eye".
May want to get another handle ready to go- someone wedged that one across the grain.
Cool thanks for the info. I think there’s a stamp at the back if looks like m8 or m6 I can’t quite tell for sure.
I’m going to get another handle anyways. Can’t see it in the photo but it’s actually an axe handle they put on and not a maul handle. Works well enough but I’ll have another ready and wedge it properly once it breaks.
