I have a ton of ash and sugar maple that I split and stacked 2 years ago. . It will probably be another 5 to 6 years before I get to burn it. How can I expect it last. Or will it last that long. Thank you
Off the ground and covered or better yet in a shed it will last forever
I have some Cherry cut by my Great Grandfather over 100 years ago
still like the day it was cut
Wood will never rot once it seasons as long as it continues to stay dry. The only thing that will happen is you will get some insects like powder post beetle and others eating at it a little here and there keep it dry and you'll be fine.. A woodshed is the best place to store long periods
