1) The auger motor quit running. I tested the motor its fine. I jumped the vacuum switch, fine, tested snap disk #2, fine, replaced anyhow so I decided it was the control box. I replaced that still no auger. If I put the control box to test mode everything tests fine, both fans, auger motor and igniter. I put a multi meter on the wires that go to the auger motor and I’m getting low voltage to the motor 8.9 volts. During test mode I get 120v.

After putting in the new control box, I still don't have function of the auger motor and the convection motor will not shut off fan runs continuously 24 hours when the stove is hot or cold @ 1.05 volts. As soon as stove is plugged in the convection motor starts and exhaust blower both run. Tested thermo coupler, fine. Checked connectors.

Help needed, tried everything we can think of so far.

Did you buy a 4 speed control box? Did you unplug stove when removing and installing control box? Is control box set on 1? #1 snap disc could be stuck closed, causing conv. fan to run constantly. Try jumping vac switch with new control box, to see if auger starts working. kap

Yes 4 speed controller. bypassed vacation switch as I already stated. Tested and replaced snap disk #1, #2, and #3 I also tested and replaced the thermal coupler as with any electronic device before you work on it you unplug it.

AND yes the controll box is on 1its also tried 2 10% auger speed boost and 3 20% auger speed boost
Auger not working yet

I assumed when you said you bypassed the vac switch, it was with the old control box as you stated you bought new one afterwards. Not trying to offend you, but have to cover all the bases. You would be surprised at how many simple things are missed.

so i had the controll box tested and it was fine. Are you stumped yet ?

Getting real close. Only thing I can think of, is when you do diagnostic, you bypass the vac switch. This is the only thing different from trying stove normally. Check wires and connections for vac switch. Maybe there is a bad connection, that isn't allowing enough power thru, when stove is trying to run normally. kap

I am going to dissemble the entire stove all electronics and test everything thank you ill let you know how it works out

Has the call light been kinda dim? Try unhooking tstat wires from stove, and just jump a wire across screws. kap

ok i jumped the thermastat and it made no diffrence
the auger motor is not spinning and the blower that forces air threw the tubes runs continuous untill its unpluged

I called Quad and asked them. There reply was tstat issue. Will try again tomorrow. kap

Question. When the stove calls for heat, does the amber light flash three times in control box? If so, your firepot thermocouple is bad, or acting up, telling stove not to feed. Also on the conv fan. Did you put the right type of snap disc in? If you put a #2 snap disc in there, it will let it run nonstop. kap

Or if you switched the wires between the two. And on the 4 speed control box, 4 thru 7 settings are not used. Before you commented you had tried 1 thru 3. Maybe make sure you are on #1? It should blink one blue light every 10 seconds for 60 seconds when stove is plugged in. kap

problem solved it was a compound problem thermostat on the wall had dust in it blew it out all well
and the snap disk wires to #2 and #3 purples and reds got reversed during the testing process
everything is working
thank you for your help
