Oley, pa
I'm not one to comment on handyman skills, but my wife came across this on Craigslist and I must give credit where credit is due. Let me know what you think.

HMMM, interesting, huh? Let's get a different view.

Holy chit, what do you even say about that? Are they burning wood logs in that thing?????? Un....f'in...real...... That is wrong on so many levels.....

Probably safer than the Chinese window stoves. Do not know what to say about the wood by the side of the stove:(

That is OSB on the outside of the window. That might last for a rainstorm or two.

Is that tile placed on carpet? Awesome...

If they had only gone up to the top of the window it probably could be debated what code it violated.

I don't understand what's wrong with this. Unless it is not too code to install the stove so close to the radiator heat. ==c

THAT'S IN MY HOMETOWN! I hope he doesn't live next to anyone I know! Come to think of it, everyone has moved out of the dying, infested town than can! Let it burn!!! :)

I wonder if he's posted on here yet!!! I would have gone with MDF rather than OSB! Better looking, especially if you put a coat of varnish on it...........

Why haven't you seen hybrid heating systems before? It's heating the water system. We could all get into some trouble on comments on this.:)

Those are all connected row homes in that area so when he goes, the whole block goes. It's a very steep street too so the fire will burn right up the hill! I think, if I remember right, that's the brain surgeon's house....

So much for posting any pics of my install after seeing this heckling. Hey at least it has an outside air kit!.

my major concern would be the unpainted wood on the outside . it is exposed to the elements and may rot. maybe he hasn't got to it yet

That OSB will outlast his time in the apartment!
