Hi has anyone had this problem with there accentra ? When in room temp the blower will run for 5 or so min at high speed then cut rite off.. Then a few min later the same thing if i remember from last year it would slow down than turn off Now it is full on than off THANKS

The fan is governed by a min temp and will shut off to prevent cold/Luke warm air blowing into the room. Perhaps something is up with this check?

Sounds like a pot going bad. Gently twist and wiggle the stove temp/room temp knob while the stove is running and see if you can duplicate the condition you describe.
Stove could also be in fireplace mode...

What is fireplace mode ??
In fireplace mode the fan will shutoff with just a low flame going. It's mainly for ambiance and not really a heating mode.

It is only 3 years old thats not good if the board is bad already
It's a bad "pot" or potentiometer on the board. Very common problem. If you are handy with a soldering iron you can buy the pots on Ebay for about $10.
I've had some luck using the compressed air in an aerosol can for cleaning your PC keyboard to clean them.

I've had bad pots on both of my stoves in 17 years of ownership. You would think Harman would have figured this out by now.

Should i try to clean it with my compressor first could that work?? Or should i replace it ?? Thanks for the help

I'd go real easy with a compressor......I've found that wiggling them and actually operating them on a regular basis makes the occasional dead spot manageable.

I cleaned them with compressor air very gently they pass the wiggle test but the blower still cuts on and off will not idle down like it use too.. Worked great last year than after summer cleaning it seems to screw up.. WHAT NOW THANKS

Could still be a bad adjustment pot on the circuit board. You may try a spray can of electrical contact cleaner before actually replacing the bad pot.

WELL I CHANGED TWO PODS AND THE STOVE FAN STILL CUTS ON AND OFF DOES NOT GO DOWN SLOWLEY LIKE IT USE TO ANY IDEAS WOULD BE GREAT THANKS

I believe it you are operating in the Stove Temp Mode on Auto, you may run into this if your temperature setting is set on a very low setting like 1 or so. The stove is not producing enough warm air to keep the fan blowing so it shuts down, then starts up again for a few minutes.

Bad ESP.

I JUST CHANGED THE ESP 4 DAYS AGO IT DOES IT WHEN IN ROOM TEMP ON AUTO AT ABOUT 70 DEGREES FAN CUTS ON THEN OFF AND IT KEEPS ON DOING IT COULD THE ROOM SENSOR BE BAD ??

What feed rate and current room temp.?

The stove has met its room temperature and is in idle. Will run the fan once in a while if the stove gets to warm. If you set the stove to 80 will it turn the fan on an continue to run?

YES IF I TURN THE STOVE UP TO 80 THE FAN COMES ON AND WILL STAY RUNNING .. WITH THE STOVE SET ON 70 AND THE ROOM AT 70 THE FAN WILL TURN OFF AND ON ABOUT EVERY 3 OR 4 MIN.. I HAD THIS STOVE 3 YEARS AND IT HAS NEVER DONE THIS BEFORE THE FAN WOULD COME ON RUN THEN GO SLOWER THEN GO INTO IDLE MODE THEN WHEN THE ROOM TEMP DROPED 3 OR 4 DEGREES THE FAN WOULD COME BACK ON IT NEVER HAS TURNED OFF AND ON SO QUICKLY I DONT KNOW WHATS UP WITH IT THANKS

Maybe its a Accentra feature. The two P series we have do as above. Just reread your first post and you stated not remembering the fan not turning off so abruptly.

so, you replaced the ESP......didja check switch 5 and ensure its set correctly?

i did not touch any of the switches they should be where they should be i would think how would they have moved thanks
