Just managed to replace all the wood i used in winter 2013 (May - October burn season.) I did have a little help from a 28 Ton Christmas friend ==c its a Chinese Honda rip off but i cant believe how easy it splits through some of the wood i had given up on and put in the too hard to split pile.

As you can see i don't get much sun (plenty of wind though) on the stacks but they have been there nearly 2 years and by the time i need them they will have another summer seasoning. I have tidied up a bit since the pics and have moved the splitting area to my 2018 stash - but that will be another thread.

I stack close together and quite high 7 foot in the last pic. limited space and a fussy wife

very nice stash, you should be proud. With the help of my friend and a wood fairy, I'm finnaly in good shape and about 3 years ahead.

beautiful job...wish i had a friend like that...bout to jump on 4 tall black locusts that fell early last year within 50 yards of my stacks in the forest right up the hill for the 15/16 winter...they're not too big around so the x-27 should kick butt...bad a$$ wind storm, Mother Nature was good to me...
