Am I the only one still heating with wood??? -15 C with the wind!!

had -14f last night.

CRAP! had -15f this a.m. just about ready to move!! tired of seeing everyone pics with green grass, flowers, summer birds...too damn much white here yet

Ya gotta look at the bright side of things like......I bet you havent had a mosquito bit or a wasp sting yet. Better yet, no grass to cut for a little while. The glass has to be half full for a wood burner. Half empty dont cut it. :lol:

well, it is getting better! only had -9f overnight...woo hoo! can just about hear those hordes of mosquitos buzzing now!

We've had a recent cold spell in Northern Virginia, including a trivial touch of snow (more showers tonight). I would be burning tonight, but don't have very much seasoned wood left. I'm saving it in case the power goes out. If I had the woodpile this year that is set aside for next year, there would be a blaze in the fireplace and I wouldn't be wearing my heavy sweater.

Guess it is all relative? We're in the high 30's at night, mid to high 40's in day time, low 50's too. I still want to burn cause I work outside and it feels good to come home and warm up...
