Hey guys,

I'm new to the stove world and am hunting for a small stove for my tiny home. I stumbled upon this, which seems too large for my purposes, but I would be willing to restore and sell it. But, what is this? I've never even seen one shaped like this. Is it saveable/sellable? Any info or guidance is appreciated! They are asking 50 for it.

Thanks

it is an old hand fired coal water heater i beleive. We used one growing up. My parents still have it sitting outside marking the end of a ditch next to the driveway.

Welcome! There have been some recent threads about stoves in tiny houses and the recurring theme is the short burn time from the small firebox.
You may find it hard to maintain a balance of temperature and that you are frequently reloading. I can appreciate the desire to derive heating from natural sources, but for a space like that you might consider electric or propane.

Here are a couple of recent threads you may find helpful.

Usually known as a "Bucket a Day" coal that is. Check over at the Nepa forum. Lot of coal burners over there.
